Urban Farm

We recently took a trip to the Urban Farm with a large group of friends. We always participate in the event since we do not do the zoo and Fin loves a chance to visit with the animals... The kids got to visit with horses, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, turkeys, chickens, rats, rabbits and Fin's favorite - the prairie dog (who are not part of the farm, but are there anyway). Honestly the place is filthy, there are many dangerous sharp rusty metal things around and there are occasionally loose cows running about the pathes. But the kids don't notice and as long as you watch them closely it's a great experience. Here are some pics :)

Crouched down saying "hi baby goat, hi baby goat!"

They let the kids go in the "goat pen". It gets pretty crazy, as the goats all fight to be petted. Fin handled it much better than last year and wasn't scared at all!

Our friend Cary told my Mom to let the boys get a pic on their own and to get out of the picture. Right after this was snapped two goats got into conflict, clashing horns right over Fin and Noahs heads! Opps, I guess she was right to hover over them!

He thought this was pretty neat when the baby goat jumped to the top of it's goat house.

Petting a turkey with friends Kyle and Noah.

Watching Mrs. Pigglesworth wallow in the mud

It was hard to tear him away from feeding the cows. He was cracking everyone up saying "here cowy, just try this cowy, do you like it cowy?" He was very sweet with them and spoke to them like he does Ellie :)

Wanted to ride the horseys

Mmm, he really liked eating watermelon this way.  Perfect snack after a very hot day!
